Museum of the Arctic n
Pohjoisranta 4, 96200 Rovaniemi, Finland
About the company:
Over hundreds of years of living in harsh natural conditions, indigenous peoples have accumulated a lot of unusual traditions. You can learn all about the northern nature, see the Northern Lights and make a souvenir yourself in the Arkticum Museum.
The exhibition “The Changing Arctic” shows how man survived the harsh conditions of the North from prehistoric times to the present day. To feel how cold it can be in the northern regions, the museum has a room where the cold and ice are stored all year round.
But the main hallmark of the museum is the Polar Theatre. Only here the northern lights happen every day. Visitors to the museum, lying in comfortable chairs, will be able to see three-dimensional animation of the Northern Lights.
The museum has souvenir shops with handicrafts, as well as a restaurant with Lapland cuisine.
