Mannerheim Main Stakes Museum
Paamajankuja 1-3, FIN-50100, Mikkeli
About the company:
The Mannerheim Maintenance Museum is dedicated to the civilian life of 1939-1944 and the military operations that took place under Marshal Mannerheim.
In the central elementary school in 1974, the office of this military commander was opened for public attendance. This place was chosen for good reason. After all, in 1939 it was here that the headquarters was based after moving from Helsinki. Then in 1989, in a separate room, the Mannerheim Main Rate Museum was opened. Thanks to the Finnish Ministry of Education and the EU Regional Development Fund, an updated and more detailed exhibition was opened in 2001.
Here you can fully track the course of military operations, the civilian life of that time. This museum is a landmark of a small town in Finland - the city of Mikkeli.
