Periameri National Park
Parameri National Park, Finland
Description:
Periameri National Park Botanical Bay, which is located near such cities as Tornio and Kemi.
There are about forty islands in the park. And some of them are grouped into multiple groups and very remote from the rest of the water space, where there is a constant change of water.
Tourists who are going to visit the park are encouraged to explore it by boat, which can be hired in the same nearby cities of Kemi and Tornio. But it is also not recommended to rent a boat to people who do not have special skills of sea navigation, it is better to use a boat taxi.
One of the largest islands of the national park is Selka Sarvi. On this island there is a fishing abandoned village, as well as secret places of smugglers who during Prohibition transported alcohol from Sweden to this island.
On Seklä-Sarvi you can stay for the night, in tents or in abandoned houses. In the national park you can see seals, animals are not afraid of people and are already used to them.
