Messukul Church

Kivikirkontie 2, 33700 Tampere

Description:

The Church of Messucula is a unique structure and a beautiful sight of the city of Tampere.

It is noteworthy that the city itself was built in 1775, and was originally a trading settlement, and the Church of Messucula was built in the middle of the 15th century, i.e. there is much older than the city itself.

Moreover, the architecture of the oldest church in Tampere has fully preserved its medieval uniqueness, despite the fact that it was abandoned for a long time, as well as several restoration works. But since there was no heating in the Middle Ages, the church is not heated to this day, so it works only in the summer.

Despite the fact that the church is quite simple, it is never deserted.
