Description:

“Wine of which country do you prefer at this time of day?” asks Woland in The Master and Margarita. A lot of people would love to see Burgundy, right? Red Burgundy on the table is a sign of good taste and a guarantee of a good meal.

The city of Dijon, once the capital of the Duchy of Burgundy, has more than two thousand years of history. And this history is expressed in a large number of interesting old houses and temples in a variety of architectural styles.

On the facade of the main temple attracts attention the image of an owl, it is unknown how there was. And the entire route through the ancient quarters, local historians called the path of the Owl. On the way meets and columbage houses, and Renaissance mansions of rich citizens, and Gothic temples. The palace of the dukes is magnificent.

In the squiggly Bona there is a wine museum and a unique tower with a roof of multi-colored tiles - a former hospital.

But in this land, which is called the Côte d’Or, the Golden Slope, we are interested not only in architecture, history, but its main asset is the magnificent Burgundy wine. We will pass the roads of the Golden slope and taste wine from local producers in a place with a glorious name - the Night of St. George.

In Burgundy, it is better to organize a 2-3-day tour. Then we are waiting for cheese tastings and truffle search and other gastronomic joys.
