Berlin

A car rally in Berlin. Sightseeing tour. 3-6 hours

Description:

On this tour we will see Berlin in all its diversity, because it is a city with two centers, and its districts are not at all similar to each other.

Historical Centre of East Berlin

Until the end of the 19th century, there was only one center in the city - the eastern one. It was here that luxury houses, famous museums, the Opera, the University, the Brandenburg Gate and, of course, the Reichstag appeared near the royal palaces.

It is believed that at the beginning of the 20th century, this city surpassed Vienna and Paris in its beauty, but the war and subsequent events made their own adjustments. Today, the exquisite architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries coexists with the buildings of the GDR and the futuristic fashion of recent years. Every meter of East Berlin bears traces of an incredible past. Here the course of history changed many times, discoveries were made, books were written, wars began, feats were performed.

Kreuzberg. Monument in Trept Park

In the very east of Berlin is Treptow Park with its famous Monument to the Warrior Liberator. And on the way we will proceed through the cheerful youth district of Kreuzberg with its clubs, graffiti and “Let’s Kiss Brezhnev”.

West Berlin Center

About 130 years ago, the Berlin elite began to settle west of Berlin in what is now Charlottenburg. So there was the famous Boulevard Kurfustendamm – “Champs Elysees” of the German capital, the future center of West Berlin. Boutiques Rolex, Chanel, Cartier coexist with art auctions and galleries, the oldest jazz club with a musical theater, luxury restaurants with beer salons. Let’s talk about the heroes of the “golden twenties”, who lived in these impressive houses, about heteras-spy and about modern morals.

We can also go to the area of “old money” Grunewald – the “bedroom district” of the Berlin elite. Here in the quiet of elegant villas and today the most important decisions are made. Remember Admiral Canaris, von Ribbentrop, Isadora Duncan and many others.

Charlottenburg Palace

Here in the west is the Charlottenburg Palace with its wonderful Baroque garden. Immerse yourself in the history of the past years. Let’s talk about the two most beautiful and outstanding queens of this, in general, male state.

Olympic Stadium

Another of the largest and most interesting objects in Berlin is the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1936 Olympics. Oddly enough, it was here and at this time that the Olympic Games acquired their inherent character of show, political performance and sporting celebration. In 2006, this renovated colossal stadium hosted the famous World Cup, which changed the character of Germany.
