Berlin icebreaker: the beginning of the Second world war and the main mistake of Stalin
Description:
“Berlin Icebreaker” is an author’s excursion program completely devoted to the Second World War and a special view of it through the eyes of an ordinary German man in the street and a Wehrmacht soldier sent to the Eastern Front.
My account of the events is based on interviews specifically conducted on the topic. The program is based on the theory of the beginning of the Second World War, described in the books of Viktor Suvorov. The main reason for this was the policy of Joseph Stalin, whose goal was to seize central and western Europe in the summer months of 1941.
From me you will learn: what was the main miscalculation of Stalin; about the unforeseen consequences for Europe, which brought the Molotov-Ribbentrop non-aggression Pact; how it was easy to avoid the invasion of the Wehrmacht army in the USSR; why it was not necessary to storm the Reichstag when taking Berlin by Soviet troops and thereby save the lives of at least three thousand of our soldiers; and much more.
I will also tell and show where the headquarters of the tank and motorized rifle division of the Group of Soviet Forces of Germany was based in the vicinity of the city, where little Volodya Vysotsky and his father lived here until the 6th grade and where he studied music and piano, as well as many other interesting facts of the war and postwar years.
We will go to the memorial to the Soviet soldiers-liberators, and we will sink a little at the mass grave. And you will also learn the true story of the famous song “Huge Sky” from the repertoire of Edita Pieha, telling about the tragic fate of two pilots from these places, bringing a faulty plane outside the residential neighborhoods of Berlin. And what this event then turned out for the leadership of Ming. Defense of the USSR and the whole country.
We debunk the popular myth that if the Germans had won then, they would be drinking Bavarian beer now! The tour will begin from the Reichstag building, from where we will go to the historical center of the Third Reich: past the former Reich Chancellery of the Fuehrer and destroyed bunkers to the Gestapo casemates and the ideally preserved building of the Luftwaffe Directorate of Hermann Goering, and further along the central streets of the city, where the fiercest fighting took place in 1945.
