Free visit to the Reichstag

One of the first wishes of many tourists in Berlin is to visit the historic Reichstag building. Visit is possible, but only if you have registered.

And here, as they say, in more detail. Registration can be made independently on the website of the Bundestag. Unfortunately, the site is not equipped with Russian. If the registration procedure seems too complicated for you, or you do not want to spend precious time on it, in addition to my excursions, I offer you a completely free service - registration to visit the dome and roof of the Reichstag building or booking seats in the Käfer restaurant located on the roof of the building. When viewing the impressive panorama of Berlin, which opens from there, you can use a free audio guide in Russian. Plan a minimum of one hour to visit the dome and roof of the building.

I am also ready to book places for you for a free excursion with a Russian-speaking employee of the Bundestag for an hour and a half. During the tour you will get acquainted with the architecture of the building and its history, the political system of Germany, visit the plenary hall of the Bundestag. You will learn where and how MPs work, as well as see the inscriptions of Soviet soldiers on the interior walls of the building. For such an excursion, the application must be made in advance, a month and a half before the planned trip to Berlin.

All forms of visit in the Bundestag are absolutely free for visitors. I am happy to inform you about this, dear tourists. In accordance with the requirements of the Bundestag, travel agents and any commercial organizations are obliged to provide this information to their customers when registering for their customers. The German Parliament does not consider it appropriate to make money on your visits. It is now the most visited parliament in the world.

Excursions inside the building are offered in different languages. There are currently only three Russian-speaking employees in the Bundestag. They do not conduct excursions every day, and the number of places on excursions is limited. Please send your requests for Russian-language tours in advance. If this is impossible for any reason, or there will be no places on the excursion in Russian on the dates you are interested in, then I will try to book places for you for a tour in German or English. In this case, I can provide you with a paid interpreter (70 euros per group).

After the tour, you can also climb the dome and roof of the building, which are open to visitors from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.

To make an application, you must specify the names, surnames (as in the foreign passport), the dates of birth of all prospective visitors, as well as the time of visit convenient for you. Before visiting the government building, you will undergo a screening procedure, during which you must have a confirmation of registration, as well as a passport or other photo ID.

It should also be noted that several times a year the Reichstag dome is closed for inspection and cleaning. And that even with the confirmation of registration already received, the Bundestag reserves the right to cancel it without giving reasons, informing you in advance. It happens very rarely, but it happens.
