Berlin

Excursion in Berlin to the Museum “Old National Gallery”

Description:

We invite you to change your mind and immerse yourself in the enchanting world of paintings, the world of stories, legends and myths.

The museum was opened in 1876. The basis for the opening of the museum was a large collection of paintings presented to the first German Kaiser Wilhelm by banker Johann Heinrich Wagener.

During our tour, you will learn a lot not only about the artists themselves, but also about artistic styles, how and when they arose, how they differed, which caused the emergence of new styles, legends, myths, history. You will see stunningly beautiful sculptures of the famous German sculptor Begas and the most valuable works of German artists of the 19th century.

You will not leave indifferent the paintings of the great Impressionists: Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Pierre Auguste Renoir and Camille Pissarro.

As well as paintings by bright representatives of romantic historicism, such as Adolf Menzel and Max Lieberman.

Impressive are the works of Arnold Böcklin, one of the brightest representatives of symbolism. The mysterious paintings of Franz von Stuck bring their diversity. A little sad and charming works of Caspar David Friedrich - one of the largest representatives of the romantic direction in painting.

It is also gratifying that among the German, Austrian and French artists we can find a painting by Ilya Repin.
