Hitler Museum. Power Street. Memorial to the fallen Soviet soldiers
Description:
How could this happen? The answer to this question is given by a unique three-storey exposition of the Berlin Historical Bunker.
We start on the ground floor, when everything seems normal: an ordinary child, parents, school photography, good drawings, unrealized hopes. But gradually everything changes: the war comes, followed by a severe crisis, and then the dizzying political career of “accidental” people. We move from one hall to another and understand the complex vicissitudes of the German state of the 1920s and 30s.
And so we descend into the ground, where the policy proposed by the NSDAP turns into hell: Jewish pogroms, concentration camps, Poland, Belarus, Stalingrad, heroes of the German Resistance, destroyed Berlin.
On the lowest floor, we are waiting for the oppressive atmosphere of the Fuehrer’s bunker of the last days. We will see the reconstructed office of Hitler, photographs of Eva Braun’s room, family chronicles of the Goebbels family.
This museum attracts both its historical thoroughness and unusual presentation. Not only will we see numerous photos and videos, but we will also pass by the broken glass of Jewish windows, a stack of depreciated banknotes and a pile of broken bricks.
After visiting the museum, we will follow the Wilhelmstrasse street of power, see the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag in historical retrospective and finish our tour at the memorial to Soviet soldiers in Tiergargen.
