Berlin

Cheerful Kreuzberg. Walking tour of informal Berlin

Description:

On this tour, we will break down all stereotypes about Berlin and go on a "feast of disobedience" in Kreuzberg.

In this area, nothing stands still: graffiti are born and sketched here, live music sounds, street actors play. It is in Kreuzberg that the famous nightclubs Berghain and Trezor are located, the world-famous Universal Music recording studio and the largest concert venue Mercedes-Benz Arena.

We are waiting for the Berlin Wall stretching along the river with its almost one-and-a-half-kilometer gallery of street art, which has turned from a “track of death” into a “pati mile”. Let’s talk about the funny story of the creation of “Brother’s Kiss” by Honecker and Brezhnev and learn about why not all the paintings painted on the wall have survived.

On our tour, I will tell you about how the technoscene brought the youth of West and East Berlin closer together, why cult clubs are located in former factory workshops and what the squat movement in Germany was like.

We will see the works of such famous street art artists as Blue, Roa, Ash and Gemeus. We are waiting for the futuristic architecture of Sergei Choban, the Oberbaumbrücke Bridge and the 30-meter sculpture of the Molecular Man.

Kreuzberg is known for its unique atmosphere of freedom, a rattling mix of modern technology, big business and hip communes. It gives birth to the funniest photos, and incredible stories happen. Here they say to each other “you”, arrange parties on rafts, collect greens for pizza right on the beds in the cafe and much, much more.

I look forward to seeing you on my tour!
