The Rise and Fall of Nazism
Description:
Today, tourists from the former USSR are welcomed in Berlin. Only 70 years ago, it would have been impossible to imagine. Our peoples brutally destroyed each other, and the word "German" was a symbol of terror and terror in the occupied territories.
How did the nation of Goethe, Schiller, and Beethoven put its future in the hands of the Nazis? Why did Hitler become the master of Germany? How did the Germans allow themselves to be used to kill civilians?
To answer these questions, I read many memoirs of participants and eyewitnesses of those terrible events – people from Hitler’s inner circle, the highest ranks of the SS, ordinary residents of Berlin and ordinary soldiers of the Wehrmacht. I found in Berlin the remaining buildings and structures of the Third Reich, and plunged into this terrible past.
We will pass (or pass) through the streets along which the famous torchlight processions walked, visit where Hitler lived before his “entry into power”, and there stood the Reich Chancellery, see the ministries of Goering and Goebbels, the cellars of the Gestapo and what remains of Hitler’s bunker.
We will visit the “Topography of Terror” – a memorial museum on the site of the former building of the General Directorate of Imperial Security. By the way, it was here that Stirlitz worked in the film version of Julian Semyonov.
We will also see the famous “protective bunkers” – gloomy concrete blocks hiding in modern Berlin.
On this tour you will learn the story of the rise and fall of the Third Reich.
