Berlin Cemetery of the Hagia Sophia Community

The Berlin Cemetery of the Hagia Sophia community is located in the Mitte district in close proximity to the Berlin Wall memorial complex. The main entrance is at Bergstraß e 29.
In 1961, the border of the cemetery ran along the Berlin Wall. During the 1960s, a 50-meter strip of the cemetery was used to increase the width of border structures. In the early years of the wall, it was still possible to visit this section of the cemetery, with special permission on Sundays and holidays.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, this site became part of the Berlin Wall memorial complex.
