Sculpture Park at the New National Gallery
Potsdamer Strase 50, Berlin, Germany
Description:
The sculpture park is part of the exposition of the New National Gallery of Berlin in Germany. The latter is a museum, which is part of the State Museums of Berlin and has copies dedicated to the art of the XX century, including the works of Pablo Picasso, Ernst Kirchner and many others. Sculptures and paintings are made both in the Art Nouveau style and in the style of classicism and impressionism. The Sculpture Park, also known as the Sculpture Garden, is located in the western part of the New National Gallery.
The new National Gallery was created by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1968 and is his only work in Germany. The open garden with sculptures of different styles adjoins the basement floor, where there are halls of permanent exhibitions.
The sculptures presented in the galleries attract the attention of not only connoisseurs of the era of modernism, classicism and impressionism, but also ordinary travelers who set out in search of new discoveries for themselves.
