Description:
Lake "Big Wannsee" is an extended section of the channel of the river Hasel. It has a picturesque coast and a beach area located in the northern part of the eastern shore in the Nicholassee area.
Before the fall of the Berlin Wall, there was a beach building with a specially designated area for nudists, which was a favorite holiday destination for residents of West Berlin.
From the pier, located on the southern shore of the lake near the bridge of Wannseebrücke, you can take a walk on river trams along the river Hasel or the Gribnitsa Canal and get to the cities of Potsdam and Werder or move to the Tegel area.
