Grimnitz Lake
Description:
Lake Grimnitz is located near the city of Angermünde, about 60 kilometers from Berlin - the capital of Germany. The lake of about 8 square kilometers is a relic of the last ice age. Its height above sea level is 64 meters, and the depth does not exceed 11 meters.
Grimnitz Lake receives food from springs, rainwater and the Shorfheide River. Due to intensive economic activity, the fish in the lake for a long time had no opportunity to fertilize, but in recent years this situation has changed. Grimnitz Lake is part of the Shorfheide-Horin Biosphere Reserve, its shores are a popular holiday destination among locals and tourists.
