The museum in Dresden. Tour of the Palace-Residence Museum “New Green Vault”
Description:
The Wettin family, who ruled Saxony for 829 years, had an unbridled passion for collecting. Carefully and seriously collecting weapons, coins, objects of applied art, trees and plants, costumes and paintings - everything beautiful, expensive, status, she created great, richest museums of world importance. But 100 years ago, after the victory of the bourgeois-democratic revolution, the royal throne collapsed, and with it came nationalization. The museums now have state status and belong to the federal state of Saxony.
Modern exhibition rooms are also worthy of attention. Lights, windows, walls are laconic, neutral and imperceptible, accents are placed only on exhibits, of which there are more than a thousand.
