Description:

The new market square of Dresden, which leads to the street Augustus Strasse, is proud of many prominent attractions, among which the temple of Frauenkirche (the Church of the Virgin Mary) stands out. In front of the temple is a monument to Luther.

This square is a place of real Baroque art. Tourists can see the panel “The Procession of the Princes”, the palace of Tashenberg, the building of the Semper Opera House, the Museum of Transport, the Palace of the Goat, the hotel “Hotel de Sacks”, as well as the store of the Dresden porcelain factory.

In addition to the beautiful buildings on the square there are many hotels, cafes and shops.

During World War II, the square was damaged and later rebuilt in the style of socialist realism.

Since 2005, it has delighted tourists and locals with its original historical appearance.
