Fountain of Neuer Stadtbrunnen

The Fountain of Noje Stadtbrunnen is the embodiment of skills in creating sculptures and musical fountains of the XX century with a classical Italian theme. The construction of the fountain was planned in 1988, but the project was realized only eight years later. By this time, technical preparations were carried out – water pipes were carried out to the central part of Kilian Square for the full functionality of the fountain.

The basis of the style of sculptor Ebergart Linke, performing the city order, put motifs from the Italian Comedia del Arte – simply Italian classical comedic motifs inherent in the past centuries. The sculptures were cast in concrete and sandstone and then covered in bronze. The fountain is equipped with a musical function.
