Fountain of Pfuhlbrunnen

Pfuhlstrase 82, Heilbronn, Germany

Description:

The Pfulbrunnen Fountain was founded in the city in 1795, when a living spring was found on this site. A century later, this place was landscaped, surrounded by stone benches. Later, in 1905, the place near the fountain was planted with lindens, and soon a park was formed here, which in honor of the fountain is also called Pfulpark. Today, the architectural composition is complemented by linden alleys, in which illumination lights up in the evening.

In 2005, the fountain was restored, but the inscriptions located on both sides of the source are preserved. One of them says that the swampy puddle was able to become a clean source, to which travelers lustfully seek. The second inscription is a thank you to the city for the fact that the authorities were able to equip such a comfortable place.
