Halikounas Beach

Halikounas Beach is located on the southwestern tip of Corfu Island. This is a very interesting place - it kind of separates from the sea Lake Corission, which is the nesting place of many, including rare, birds. The lake connects to the sea a small wooden bridge, and around there are lush green forests of cedar and juniper.

For the most part, the beach is covered with sand dunes, although it is framed by cliffs. It looks very picturesque and also convenient for vacationers. Halikounas do not spoil the buildings, there are no buildings nearby, so the eye is pleased with the beauty of unlimited nature.

This beach is usually quite sparsely populated. Although there are small taverns and bars necessary for a good rest. For lovers of active recreation, there is the possibility of renting the necessary equipment for water sports.
