St. Spyridon Beach
Description:
The beach of St. Spyridon is located in the northeastern part of the island of Corfu, Greece. This is an attractive wild place, dotted with golden sand. The beach is located in a charming bay and protected from the winds by high cliffs. Agios Spiridon, known in the northeast of the island as a nature reserve, is just a short walk from the beach.
Immediately behind it is a small lake, which originates from the sea and serves as a raw material base for the local fish farm. If you get to the beach early in the morning, you can buy fresh fish. This is a great place for those who are looking for a peaceful holiday for the whole family. Behind the main beach are two more small sandy places for swimming.
Right on the beach is the church of St. Spyridon, after the construction of which it got its name. Near it there is a minimarket and a tavern, and there is also a place for parking. For lovers of active recreation on the beach rent canoes and water catamarans.
