Sightseeing tour of the island of Corfu

In the program: the Kanoni Peninsula, a review of the Old part of the city of Kerkyra, the plant for the production of liqueur "Kum-kuat", Paleokastritsa: Monastery "Life-Bearing Spring", Mount Lakones, the observation deck Bella Vista, the village of Makrades, the naze area of Trumbet, the Palace "Achilleon".

We invite you to visit the most interesting sights of the island of Corfu. Undoubtedly, the first stop will be on the observation deck overlooking the famous Pontikonisi - Mouse Island, a symbol of the island of Kerkyra on the Kanoni Peninsula. We will admire how planes land on the runway from the observation deck.

Next, you will see the capital of the Ionian Islands – the city of Corfu Town (Kerkyra), located in the heart of the island. Our route will run through the old and new port of the capital on the west coast. On the way, we will stop at the Kum-kuat liqueur factory (an alcoholic souvenir and traditional sweets) from a small Chinese orange. After watching a mini-film in Russian, we will be able to taste and purchase the products of the plant. Then we will visit the most beautiful area of the island, consisting of 6 bays - Poleokastritsa.

Here we will see the 13th century Monastery of Life-Bearing Spring, where you can walk, see a Russian gun and take stunning photos from the hill of St. Nicholas overlooking St. Peter’s Bay with crystal clear water, numerous boats and boats. You will have free time to ride boats on 3 grottoes with stalactides. If you wish, you can visit the Corfu Aquarium.

We will also go through the olive groves to the highest point of the Adriatic (250 meters above sea level), the observation deck of Bella Vista, pass through the traditional village of Lakones with narrow streets and beautiful houses located on the top of the mountain.

The next stop will be in the village of Makrades, which is famous all over the world for olive oil, seasonings from Greek herbs, cosmetics and olive products. Here you will taste honey, jam, olive liqueur, moonshine and homemade wines. Descent from the mountains of the west coast, we will have a view of the north of the island, and from the observation deck in the village of Trumbeta, we will have a view of the Ropa Valley, the western massif of Mount Pantocrator, continental Greece and the capital of the island of Corfu. Along the way, you will learn about the history and traditions of the local Greeks.

The end point of our program will be the village of Gasturi, where the most famous museum is located - the Achilleon Palace, built by the Empress of Austria Elizabeth. You will see the personal belongings of the Empress and the second owner, Kaiser of Germany Wilhelm II. You will be amazed by the view from the observation deck, the sculptural and architectural creation of Italian architects, we will visit 3 magnificent tiers of the garden surrounded by the beautiful nature of the island of Corfu.
