Karaiskaki Stadium

Karaoli ke Dimitriou 12, Pireas 185 47, Greece

Description:

Karaiskakis Stadium is a stadium in Greece. It is located on Posidonos Avenue in Piraeus. The stadium opened in 1896 and was first used at the 1896 Summer Olympics.
Around the perimeter of the stadium there is a round gallery, providing a safe and even distribution of the flows of fans. Given that the arena is one-tiered, this is not a typical layout. The same goes for the already mentioned Dnipro Arena. Most of the space under the stands is open.

As far as we can judge, the transport problem has been qualitatively solved at the Olympiacos stadium. Moreover, the city of Piraeus is still a suburb of Athens. So, right next to the stadium is a large multi-level transport interchange from the ring road of Athens. There are lots of parking spaces around the arena. The stadium is also connected to Athens Faliro Metro Station. This, in turn, has direct access to the tram line. We can say that the stadium and the station of Faliro make up a single whole here.
