Georgian stories and jokes

Description:

From Shota Rustaveli to the present day - the most frivolous walk

“Nothing brings people together like laughter. For laughter is love of humanity. – Leo Tolstoy

One of my favorite features of the Georgian character is a sense of humor. At times it is mild irony, sometimes sunny unbridled fun, sometimes black humor on the verge of foul, and very rarely, almost never, sarcastic sarcasm. Humor is positive emotions that are very important for society as a whole, during times of trials, it often had a healing effect on people and saved them from troubles and misfortunes. This is clearly visible in the history and humor of Georgians, who laugh even when it seems not to laugh. And, in the end, they find strength and are above difficult circumstances.

We will walk along Batumi Boulevard and the streets of the city and look at Georgian culture from an unusual angle.

About whom and how to joke in different regions of Georgia
- and who is not laughed at under any circumstances, although there was one exception
- anecdotes of different eras of the XX century, how urban folklore can feel a particular period in history

I'm going to tell you why there's no known culture that doesn't have the phenomenon of laughter. And also share moments of history when humor from leisurely entertainment became a real weapon!

While we look at the numerous graffiti on the walls of Batumi houses, I will talk about the self-irony in the work of the brilliant primitivist artist Nico Pirosmani, and about modern artists writing in this style. And, of course, we will not forget Rezo Chkheidze, Georgy Daneliya, Sergey Parajanov and other directors who opened Georgia.
worldwide. Remember my favorite jokes and I will tell you about the funny incidents on the set, which, in large part, took place in Georgia.
