Seaside Park in Batumi

At the site of the park there was a landfill with waste, almost the entire coast was unsuitable for recreation. Thanks to all the efforts of the inhabitants of the city, this place was put in order and became one of the amazing places of Batumi.

The very first project of the boulevard was designed by the famous German gardener Ressler. His project after the death of Ressler brought to life another famous gardener D’Alfonso.

A huge contribution to the improvement of the garden was made by a beautiful Georgian gardener-decorator Jason.

Gordesiani, who successfully took an active part in the decoration of the London Botanical Garden.

For more than a hundred years there is Batumi Park, the inhabitants of the city are very fond of it, as well as many tourists. Here you can relax, visit numerous cafes and clubs, as well as there are a large number of playgrounds and attractions for children. On the Ardagan lake, in 2005 another singing fountain was built according to the French project. It is considered one of the most beautiful fountains in Europe.

The boulevard itself consists of five parallel alleys, which are separated by classical lawns, as well as various cafes. In the first alley, which is called magnolia, there is a pavilion on it, where chess lovers and backgammon gather daily, as well as a Greek colonnade, today it is a kind of gate to the park.
