St. Nino Bodbe Monastery
Sighnaghi-St. Nino Monastery, Signaghi, Georgia
Description:
Not far from the Georgian city of Signahi in Kakheti is the monastery of St. Nino. Above the grave of the holy enlightener Nina, a temple was first built, and then the Bodbe monastery was gradually formed.
At different times the monastery fell into decline and was reborn again. Monastery life was resumed only in 1991.
The appearance of the monastery includes the churches of St. George and St. Nino with a park and outbuildings. From the observation deck there is a stunning view of the Alazan valley.
You can get to the monastery from Tbilisi by bus (on Signahi).
