The Jinval Reservoir was formed as a result of the construction of a hydroelectric power station on the Aragvi River. The water has become a source of electricity and drinking water.
Mountains covered with greenery, emerald water, the ruins of the historical fortress of Ananuri, open to the traveler passing along the shore of the reservoir along the adjacent highway. Many tourists stay in this picturesque place: throw out tents, sunbathe, bathe, take photos for memory.
To get to the Zhinvali reservoir on the Georgian Military Road is easiest by car or by minibus from Tbilisi from Dadiani metro.
