14-day tour of Georgia: From Tbilisi to Batumi and Kazbegi

Route.

Day 1

• Arrival in Tbilisi, meeting at the airport with a sign
• Transfer to the hotel
• Sightseeing tour of Tbilisi: Old Town, Sulfur Bath District, Metekhi, Anchiskhati, Sioni. Walk through the streets of the old city, climb the cable car to the monument Mother of Georgia
• Dinner in a restaurant with national cuisine

Day 2

• Departure from the hotel after breakfast
• Visit to the cave town of Uplistsikhe (VIII-III centuries BC)
• Moving to the Racha region. Stop at viewing sites at an altitude of 2500 m above sea level
• Participation in the collection of grapes (Rtveli) (if possible in autumn)
• Tasting of Hvanchkar wine from local producers in Ambrolauri
• We stay at the winery for the night.

Day 3

• See the sights of Ambrolauri:
• Church of Nikortsminda (XII century)
• Lake Shaori
• Gelati Monastery (XII-XIII centuries) in Kutaisi
• Visit Prometheus Cave and Martville Canyon
• Moving to Zugdidi, accommodation in the family hotel Casa de Khasia

Day 4

• Departure from Zugdidi
• Moving to the highland region of Svaneti, Mestia
• Visit to Heshkili
• Museum
• Rest in Mestia

Day 5

• Trip to Ushguli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
• Inspection of houses of VIII-IX centuries, Shhara Mountain, Lamaria Church (XII century)
• Return to Mestia
• Swan House Museum (XII century)
• Free evening

Day 6

• Moving from Mestia to Batumi with a stop in Zugdidi to visit the Palace of the Dadiani Princes and the new dendrologic park
• At lunch, a master class on preparing Mengrel dishes in the Casa de Khasia house
• Arrival in Batumi, free evening

Day 7

• Sightseeing tour of Batumi with a local guide
• Trip to the Alpine Adjara with a visit to the Mirveti and Mahentseti waterfalls, gorges and river confluences
• Return to Batumi

Day 8

• Visit to the Botanical Garden in Batumi
• Free evening

Day 9

• Departure from Batumi
• Miniature Park of Architecture of Georgia
• Music Park
• Archaeopolis of Vani (archaeological site of ancient Georgia)
• Moving to Borjomi, accommodation at Crown Plaza/Borjomi Plaza Hotel
• Walk through the historical Borjomi Park, tasting mineral water

Day 10

• Departure to Vardzia
• Visit to the cave town of Vardzia
• Departure to the city of Akhaltsikhe - visit the Rabat fortress
• Return to Tbilisi

Day 11

• Tour of Alazan Valley (Kakheti):
• Crossing the Gombor Pass
• Visit to Telavi
• Estate of Princes Chavchavadze in Tsinandali, wine tasting Tsinandali
• Tasting of Georgian wines at the winery (Graneli/Shumi/Mosmieri)
• Visit to Signaghi
• Return to Tbilisi

Day 12

• Trip along the Georgian Military Road:
• Jinvali reservoir
• Ananuri Fortress
• Pasanauri, the merger of White and Black Aragvi
• Gudauri ski resort
• Monument "Friendship of Peoples"
• Cross pass
• Holy Trinity Temple at the foot of Kazbeg
• Dinner with Hinkali in Pasanauri
• Return to Tbilisi

Day 13

• Visit to Mtskheta:
• Jvari Monastery
• Svetitskhoveli Cathedral
• Walk through the old town
• Visit to Château Mukhrani - wine tasting
• Return to Tbilisi

Day 14

• Airport transfer
