Livingston National Museum

Zambia, Livingston, Mosi-Oa-Tunya Road

About the company:

Just 10 km from Victoria Falls in Livingston Zambia is the National Museum of Livingston Country. The museum, as well as the city, was named after the discoverer David Livingstone, as it is also called “African Columbus”.

The main task of the museum is to tell visitors about the development of mankind on the African continent. The museum contains a large collection of archaeological and anthropological values obtained during the excavations. Here you can see the skull of the first man who lived on Earth more than a hundred thousand years ago. A model of an African settlement of past centuries is exhibited.

A fettering horror mixed with curiosity envelops anyone who first sees a collection of ritual items by Voodoo wizards.

A separate exhibition in the museum is given to David Levingston, who conducted research on the African continent in the XVII century. The exposition includes records, letters, maps of the researcher, personal belongings.
