October 5 is Croatian Railway Day or Railroad Day.
This day was chosen in memory of the decision of the Croatian Assembly of October 5, 1990, which established the Croatian Railways, and for the first time all the railways in the country were under unified management.
The history of Croatian railways dates back more than 140 years.
