Day of the Croatian Assembly

Parliament building in ZagrebOn May 30, 1990, a constitutional meeting of the new convocation of the Croatian parliament, the first elected in free elections, was held.

Until 2001, this day was celebrated as the Day of Statehood, but now it is the Day of the Croatian Parliament.

It is a sign of the important role played by the Assembly in the implementation of Croatian statehood for many centuries.
