Holy Innocent Children of Bethlehem

This day is called Rodoshevo or Shibarevo in Croatia.On December 28, Catholics celebrate the Day of the Holy Innocent Children of Bethlehem. In Croatia, this day is called Rodosevo or Shibarevo.

On this day, guys go to the houses where girls live, hitting them with rods on their health. Girls are paid off with vegetables, biscuits and drinks. This custom has survived to this day, and in northwestern Croatia, all children are beaten with rods.
