Marshal Tito's waterfront
Description:
Tito embankment in Croatia is a pedestrian street in Porec. It is located between the river Una and the beach. It is a walking area with palm trees, lawns and numerous cafes. In the center is the sculpture “Mother and Child”. There is a statue in honor of Marshal Tito.
At the end of the promenade is the longest Adriatic pedestrian bridge in Croatia, about 70 km long. On the opposite side of the river is the Museum of Archaeology, which exhibits artifacts found during excavations.
On the Tito waterfront there are many bars and restaurants. Here walk and vacationers, and local residents. There are also street musicians who offer their services to tourists. On the banks of the river Una is a city beach. Along the entire beach you can see sculptures: “Wish Tree”, and opposite it is a huge stone of desires.
How do I get there?
The embankment of Tito is located about 8 km from the city of Porec. You can get there by bus or taxi. The cost of a one-way ticket is 6 kuna. We recommend buying a ticket on all three sides, as it is valid at all stops. Tickets can be taken from the driver, but it is better to buy at the kiosk. It is more profitable to take a ticket for 24 hours. There are bus stops on Tito Quay. Schedule and routes can be found at the stop.
