Mountain Bear

Bear is a mountain system that has long been a symbol of Zagreb. This natural park is one of the most favorite places of rest Zagreb residents. It is here, among the dense broad-leaved forests, that locals shelter from the intrusive urban noise.

The highest mountain of Medvednitsa is called Sleme, at the very top of which is the Zagreb TV Tower, and a little lower - the Church of Our Lady of Slemen.

On the eastern and northern slopes there are magnificent ski slopes of varying degrees of complexity. On the opposite side, in the south, stands Medvegrad Castle, which was built in the XIII century.

The main landscape attraction of Medvednitsa is a cave called Vetrenica, whose length is 7128 meters.

You can get to Medvednitsa as follows: by tram number 8, which passes near the railway station, drive to the Mihaljevac stop, where you need to change to bus number 148 and get to the Tomislavov Dum stop. Time in the trek will be about an hour and a half.
