Description:

One of the most popular and at the same time ancient places in Zagreb is the city Botanical Garden. It was built in 1889 by Milan Lenuci, who wanted to create a garden in the traditional English style. Initially, the garden was intended for botanical research, but later it was opened to everyone.

The Zagreb Botanical Garden has thousands of species of trees and plants. For more than a century of history, the Botanical Garden has gathered representatives of flora from all continents. The greatest representation was received by the fauna of Asia and the inhabitants of the tropics.

In the Botanical Garden there are two ponds in which several species of algae grow. Decorative bridges are thrown through the ponds.
