Zagreb History Museum
About the company:
It is hard to imagine an easier way to penetrate the history of a new city than visiting a historical museum. In the upper part of Zagreb is located the Museum of the history of the city, which will help travelers to take a tour of the past. Ancient maps, the evolution of military weapons and uniforms, coats of arms, standards, flags, household items and even ancient archaeological excavations will complement the picture. Unique is the building of the museum, which consists of three separate buildings: the observation tower of the XII century, the convent of St. George. Clara of the XVII century and the largest granary in the city of the XVII century. A special contribution to the development of the museum and financial assistance in the purchase of certain types of exhibits was made by singer Milka Trnina, architect Viktor Kovac and composer Ivan Zaits. Thanks to their work, the museum’s collection has expanded to more than 75,000 works of art.
