Zagreb Archaeological Museum

Trg Nikole ubić a Zrinskog 19, 10000, Zagreb, Croatia

About the company:

One of the most popular places in the capital of Croatia is the Zagreb Archaeological Museum. Thanks to the extensive collections of the Archaeological Museum, you can get acquainted with the history of Croatia. Behind the walls of the museum, 400,000 exhibits are exhibited in five halls. Each of the five exhibition halls is dedicated to its own theme – it is an exposition of the Egyptian, prehistoric, medieval and ancient periods, as well as a hall fully dedicated to the collection of ancient coins. Most of the exhibits of the museum have a local source and were discovered during excavations in Croatia (some directly in Zagreb). Of particular interest are the Egyptian mummies and the Head of Plautillas, brought from the ancient Roman city of Salon.
