Tirtaganga Palace
Jalan Ababi, Abang, Bali, Indonesia
Description:
The cool local climate and the incredible beauty of the scenery inspired the local Raja to build a country house and garden. And after the construction was completed, Raja named his creation "Tirtaganga" (from the words "Tirta" - blessed water and "Ganga" - the sacred Indian river Ganges).
The architectural style in which the water gardens around the spring are built is unique - it combines elements of Balinese and Chinese architecture.
The composition of the water garden consists of three complexes with large ponds and many sculptures. The first complex, the lowest, consists of a water tower and several lakes. The second complex is located on a medium level and consists of several large swimming pools. And the main, upper, complex includes the residence of Raja and several buildings, including a restaurant and 4 guest bungalows.
Interestingly, Raja often took part in construction, not only on paper, but also did a lot with his own hands. Black work was his favorite hobby.
