About the company:

The Archaeological Museum was built in 1951 near the Citadel. The museum presents finds found on the territory of modern Jordan and telling about the history of this area from the Paleolithic to the XVI century.

There are items of everyday life made of stone, glass, metal and ceramics, as well as jewelry and figurines. The coin collection is also very interesting.

The main attractions of the museum are plaster statues of Ain Ghazal dating back to the Paleolithic era, possibly the oldest sculptural portraits of people who lived 6,000 to 8,000 years ago.

The museum houses ancient scrolls found near the Dead Sea, written in the Aramaic language Jesus spoke.
