Milad TV Tower
Description:
The Burje Milad TV Tower, which is 435 meters high, is one of the highest towers in the world, second only to the TV towers in Toronto, Moscow and Shanghai. It is designed in such a way that it can withstand an earthquake of any force and almost any blows of the elements. The project of the Milad tower was developed specifically taking into account the high level of seismic activity, which is characteristic of both Tehran and the entire territory of Iran.
Stylistically, the Milad Tower is made in the spirit of traditional Islamic architecture and looks like a giant minaret, crowned with a huge spherical dome and a slender spire - a 100-meter antenna. The construction of a television tower in the northwestern part of the Iranian capital lasted 11 years.
There are three elevator shafts in the tower, in which six panoramic elevators move, which take employees and visitors to the head of the tower, made in the form of a 12-storey capsule of about 12,000 square meters. The shape of the base of the tower is typical of Persian architecture - it is made in the form of a regular octagon. Very popular rotating restaurant, located at an altitude of 276 meters. The upper tiers occupy various technical premises (for television, radio broadcasting, telecommunications, weather stations and other services).
