Chester Beatty Library Museum

Dublin Castle, Dublin 2, Ireland

Description:

The Chester Beatty Library is not only one of the most important art museums in Ireland, but also one of the best museums in Europe, telling about the creative life of mankind from 2700 BC to the present.

The museum is located in the centre of Dublin, near the Aston Quay. His collections include many manuscripts and miniatures, engravings and drawings, rare books and some decorative arts collected by Sir Alfred Chester Beatty.

It is an artistic treasure trove that opens a window into the world of art, great cultures and religions of Asia, North Africa and Europe.

Here you can see Egyptian papyri, beautifully illustrated religious writings: the Koran, the Bible, as well as European manuscripts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
