Howth Peninsula
Ireland, 13 kilometres northeast of Dublin
Description:
To the east of Dublin is the Hoat Peninsula, towering over the adjacent coast. It is separated from the large island by a small isthmus. The peninsula is famous for its picturesque landscapes and local inhabitants – sea seals.
The coast of the peninsula is cut by small bays, grottoes. On the north coast, near the town of Hote, there is a spacious harbor, where snow-white yachts and small fishing boats easily coexist. Near the bay is a favorite resting place for sea seals. Those who want to feed these animals are no less than seals.
From most of the peninsula there are fascinating views of the sea, Dublin Bay and the island "Irish Eye".
