Museum of Irish Whiskey "Old Jameson Distillery"

Bow Street Smithfield Dublin, Co. Dublin, Ireland

About the company:

The Old Jameson Distillery is an extremely popular museum dedicated entirely to the production and history of Irish whiskey. The museum is located in the capital city of Dublin.

This unusual museum is really housed in the building of the old John Jameson distillery - hence the name. Inside the museum, the realities of whiskey production are very accurately recreated, and the exhibits are real equipment from distilleries of those times. First of all, visitors to the museum are shown a short film about the history of whiskey, and then the tour itself begins, covering in detail all the stages of production of this drink - from the choice of grain and malt to the demonstration of oak barrels in which ready-made whiskey ripens.

Visits to the museum are paid and last an average of 45 minutes. At the end of the tour, visitors are offered a free tasting of the distillery products, as well as a visit to the company store "Jameson", where you can cheaply buy a bottle of real, aged Irish whiskey.
