Mount Montserrat + Winery + Lunch

During this tour we will visit the Monastery on Mount Montserrat, after which we will continue to get acquainted with the culture of the region through winemaking and gastronomy.

Having visited the Black Madonna and making a wish, which is sure to fulfill, we will go on an excursion to a small winery Oller del Mas located at the foot of the Montserrat mountain range, in a medieval castle that has been owned by the same family for 36 generations.

During this tour, we will learn how to prepare wine in this winery, we will be able to taste several varieties of wines, look at the zakok founded in the X century, admiring the surrounding area and Mount Montserrat from a different angle.

Wine cellars have a very long history, since the XI century, which invariably affected the quality of wines produced by the winery. Let’s get acquainted with the history of the family that founded this castle, and find out what the name Oller means.

You can visit another winery in the wine region of Penedes or Bages, including the Torres winery.

Then, if desired, we can visit the cheese factory where goat, sheep and cow cheeses are prepared. We will be offered a tasting of cheeses, and then lunch in an authentic Catalan restaurant near the mountains of Montserrat, where meat, paella, mussels are very tasty, and stewed bull tail can not be tasted in every restaurant.

The restaurant located at the foot of the mountain range deserves special attention. Calm atmosphere, reasonable prices, delicious village food. The decoration of the restaurant, decorated in medieval style, will give the evening a special impression.

I assure you, you'll love it!

Depending on the schedule, you can visit another winery and another restaurant at the Oller del Mas winery. We will discuss this with you during the tour planning. There are several wineries to choose from, including Parés Baltà, and lunch at an equally interesting restaurant along the route.
