Catalan family wineries

Catalonia is famous for its wine brands such as Torres, which produces white, pink, red, dessert wine and brandy. Fresenet and Cadorniu are known for their sparkling wine Kava.

Today, these are very large wine monsters, their production is put on stream and they export their products to many countries of the world.

I invite you to small family wineries. One of them is located in a well-preserved old castle with an observation tower, from where you can view the property of the family, the other winery still serves as a family house with six floors of basements, where miraculously preserved exhibits are located, the third is used as an exclusive hotel with suites, but without TV and radio. These old mansions, castles, estates are very original and colorful.

You will see and feel how much work, patience, love is invested in every corner of these lands, talk with the owners and oenologists, they will talk about the hard work of farmers, spend on ancient or very modern cellars, show the process of wine production and with pleasure offer to taste wines, grape juice, olive oil and other delicacies produced at the winery, because in stores you will not find them.

If desired, you can order lunch at the winery or at a nearby village restaurant.
