Riasor Stadium is located in La Coruña, Spain. It is the home of the Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña. In addition to football matches, it also hosts some public events.
The stadium was opened in 1944. It originally had a capacity of 30,000 spectators, but was visited by far fewer fans. However, after changes made in 1982 for the World Cup, the stadium became one of the best in Spain for its time. Treadmills were removed, and its usual oval shape was changed to the shape of a horseshoe. Its capacity has also changed, increasing to 34,600.
The stadium is the home of the Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña. Also from time to time it hosts matches with the national team of Spain.
