Day at the beach of Madrid

The reservoir, 70 km from the capital, is located in the municipality of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, in the foothills of Sierra de Gredos, surrounded by pine groves, which makes rest in these places like a forest fairy tale. Along the reservoir for 14 km stretches excellent beaches, equipped with all the necessary services, including catamaran rental points. The largest number of tourists is usually observed in the recreation areas: Cerro de San Esteban, on the right bank of the Alberce River, the Tagus tributary, and on the left - in Lancha del Yelmo. The most popular recreational area on the beaches is El Muro.
