Málaga

Malaga, Spain

Description:

Malaga is an unusually lively city, and you can find everything you expect to find in Andalusia. Walking around the city, you can enjoy a monumental ensemble, such as the Arab castle of Alcazaba, the Roman theater, the fortress of Gibralfaro, contemplate the facades and buildings soaked in history. On Merced Square stands an obelisk erected in honor of General Torrijos, who fought against the despotism of King Ferdinand VII. Nearby is the house where the artist Pablo Picasso, the famous son of Malaga, was born. On San Agustin Street you can visit the palace of the Counts of Buenavista.
In the Botanical Garden, European, tropical and subtropical plants from all over the world are gathered.

Malaga is not only a cultural center, it is also a center of excellent Mediterranean cuisine. Locals love their food, bars and restaurants are a real place of social life. Malaga’s cuisine is light, healthy and typically Mediterranean. These are shrimp in all possible variations, fried fish. Tapas, small portions of various dishes, Andalusian tradition and a great opportunity to appreciate the uniqueness of Mediterranean cuisine. It is impossible to pass by bodegas (old style wine shops) and not taste the famous Andalusian wine.

As the poet said of Malaga, “The Paradise City.” It is as if you reign over the sky, over the water, in the air.” Beautiful landscape and picturesque surrounding villages, old streets, green boulevards, southern port atmosphere, may only be worth coming here for this.
