Guadalquivir and Triana: Sevilla from water and on foot

This excursion is a beautiful and unusual way to see Seville: first from the water, and then from inside one of the most colorful quarters of the city.

We will spend the first hour on a catamaran on the Guadalquivir River. It was the river that made Seville rich, influential and legendary: through it the city was connected with the Atlantic, the New World, seafarers, traders and great historical events.

From the water of Seville reveals differently: The Golden Tower, the Palace of San Telmo, the arena for bullfighting, bridges of different eras, embankments, the island of Kartuha and modern silhouettes of the city are formed into a living panorama. It is a calm and very pleasant format - without haste, with beautiful views and the feeling that the city gradually opens before you.

After a river walk we will go to Triana, a quarter on the other side of Guadalquivir. Once there lived sailors, artisans, ceramists, gypsy families and people whose lives were closely connected with the river. Triana has long been considered a vernacular, free and even marginal area, but it is here that a special Seville energy was born.

We'll talk about trianeros, flamenco, ceramics, old crafts, the market, the Isabella II Bridge and why Triana residents still see their neighborhood almost as a separate world.

This is an excursion for those who want to see not only the ceremonial Seville, but also its living, river, folk side - with beautiful views, atmosphere and stories that remain in memory.
